Yesterday, Peter Jensen won the Magasin du Nord´s fashion award worth 500, 000 DKK. The new reward is made-up by Magasin foundation given by the Magasin store, the country´s leading chain of department stores.
The competition was driven by three nominees designers: Peter Jensen, Sara Sachs from Moonsppon Saloon and Anne Sofie Madsen.
The decision was not easy for judges, says Nina Wedell- Wedellsborg, a director of Magazin du Nord Fundation and Chairman of the jury.
" Peter Jensen won the prize as he has proven being a Master and maintained his original deep expression. Also he delivers fashion at a high international level with an effect on women of all ages."

It seems that, the designer was satisfied with the award.
"I am happy and proud to be the first who has been honoured by this beautiful award from Magasin du Nord Foundation. I really did not have any thoughts that the choice would fall on me, but I was very pleased and happy when I receive this message here on a gray November day," says Peter Jensen.

The Copenhagen Fashion Week SS13/ Inez Dawczyk
The jury behind price consisted of: Didder Rønlund, journalist, Eva Kruse, CEO of Copenhagen Fashion Week and Danish Fashion Institute, Malene Malling, who is publisher at Malling Publications and among other behind all releases Cover and Cover Man, and Nina Wedell- Wedel Borg, Member of the Board of Magasin du Nord Foundation.Although, this is the first time the award is given, it will return as an annual event in the future.
